Freedom Ceremony – Wed 8 Feb 23

On Wednesday 8 February, twenty one new Freemen made their declarations and were admitted by the Master to the Freedom of the Company of Nurses. The ceremony took place at the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists’ (WCIT) Hall and was followed by a buffet lunch. The occasion was enjoyed by all, and there was the usual happy buzz of chatter and laughter in the room. The fellowship experienced when a room is filled with nurses is a such a pleasure to be part of, and many nursing stories were shared and connections made. The Company extends a very warm welcome to our new Freemen and their guests and looks forward to seeing them at future Company events as we go forward in the Livery world with all its associated history.  Freemen will be able to view photographs from the event in the Gallery in the login section of the website.

The WCIT Hall has recently become a permanent home for our Company, and we had the pleasure of seeing some of our treasures displayed in one of the cabinets. Until now we have had to store them out of sight, so we are very grateful to be part of the WCIT family and will be holding our Court meetings and some of our other events there in the future.
