Education and Professional Development

The Education and Professional Development Committee provides a number of opportunities for Freeman and their guests.

Educational Forums

We provide three forums each year to bring delegates together to explore contemporary issues facing the nursing profession and healthcare provision generally. These events are developed as a result of feedback from members. This enables the Worshipful Company of Nurses to provide a rich and varied programme. Our events are always well attended and early booking is essential.

Revalidation

After each event certificates of attendance are issued by the Education committee, which members can use as part of their NMC revalidation.

Coaching, Mentoring and Volunteering

There is coaching and mentoring support for our Liverymen, Freemen and Apprentices. An expert team of coaches and mentors can provide bespoke sessions that are based on your personal and clinical needs.

There are opportunities for our Liverymen and Freemen to become involved in volunteering with outreach work in schools and with young people.
