The Clerk: Peter Rogers

Peter Rogers Peter was educated at Sutton Manor and the Universities of London and Surrey, where he obtained an honours degree in English and Drama and a PGCE.

He spent most of his career at the Scout Association supporting the adolescent age range. He   specialised in organising large events at venues such as the O2 and Windsor Castle and taking large groups of young people overseas.

Leaving the Scouts as Assistant Director, he became Director of Programme and Operations for children’s charity 4Children, before becoming Chief Executive of outdoor education charity Wide Horizons. Peter was awarded the OBE in 2015 for services to young people and children.

Before becoming Clerk to the Worshipful Company of Nurses, Peter was Events Co-ordinator and Interim Assistant Clerk to the Worshipful Company of Scientific Instrument Makers and Interim Clerk to the Guild of HR Professionals during their recent successful transition from Guild to Company without Livery.

Peter is married to Tracey and they have a daughter, Zoe.
