Elizabeth Bardolph LLM BSc RGN DHMSA INP FRSPH

Liz Bardolph Liz trained at St Thomas’ hospital as a Nightingale nurse, and after attaining senior positions in two London teaching hospitals, left the NHS to raise her family.

Since then she has built a portfolio career. She worked at the then Tri-service hospital in Hampshire undertaking clinical research where she changed the delivery of diabetes care. With an interest in the history of medicine, she undertook the Diploma in the History of Medicine with the Society of Apothecaries. She was awarded the Osler medal.

Liz also worked at IBM where she invigorated the cardiovascular risk assessment programme. She was recognised for this work in health education and made a Fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health.

During this time she undertook a BSc in Health Studies, achieving a First Class Honours Degree as well as undertaking a management course with the Open University.

Using her knowledge of industry, management, and healthcare she set up her own business while working with the Royal College of Nursing to set standards and training in a new nursing specialty. She co-founded the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses serving as its President. Following her interest in the law, she undertook a Masters in Medical Law and Ethics and is an accredited Civil Expert Witness. In 2015 Liz was awarded the prestigious Schuco International Award for Special Achievement in recognition for her services to the Medical Aesthetics speciality.

Liz is a Ten Year Foundation Freeman, has served as Renter Warden, and is Master of the Worshipful Company of Nurses (2023-2024).
