A traditional Guild Freedom Ceremony followed by an afternoon tea reception for Freemen and their guests was held in the lovely setting of The Members Dining Room at Guildhall. Amongst the 50 or so attendees were the 16 Freemen of the Guild who made their declarations to the Guild of Nurses in front of the Master, Wardens, Court Assistants and Honorary Clerk. The Ceremony is a lovely opportunity for the Guild Freemen to show their family and friends some of the formal aspects of the City Livery. Following the formal part of the afternoon, a delightful buffet afternoon tea was served along with sparkling wine and cups of tea. Freemen and their guests were free to circulate, make new acquaintances and renew friendships with colleagues, some not seen for a number of years!
Photographs of the afternoon are available to view and download in the Freemen Only section of the website.
