Sheep Drive across London Bridge Sunday – 26 Sep 21
The Master and Upper Warden took part in the annual Sheep Drive across Southwark Bridge on Sunday 26th September.
It was a wonderful opportunity for the Company of Nurses to take part as Freemen of the City and exercise our rights as “a Citizen and a Nurse”. The event was hosted by the Worshipful Company of Woolmen and supported by the Guild of Young Freemen.
The Lord Mayor and Sheriffs were the first to drive their sheep. The Yorkshire Shepherdess Amanda Owen accompanied the Lord Mayor and luckily the sheep were well controlled by the many helpers.
If you are a Freeman of the City of London, do think about sheep driving next year—it is great fun.
