Please come and join the discussion with 3 authoritative speakers; a Director of Nursing, a CQC Inspector and a leader from NHS Improvement sharing their experiences from a range of perspectives, all leaders involved in the quality processes for NHS delivery of care. Our Annual Church Service will be held at St Lawrence Jewry Church in the City of London at 6pm. St Lawrence Jewry situated in the Guildhall’s yard is the official church of the Lord Mayor of London and the City of London Corporation. Dating back to 1135, this Church was the ancient setting for the first annual church service for The Guild of Nurses. Last years’ service, was well attended and was a beautiful and dignified occasion. All freemen and their guests are encouraged to join us at the service.

Declaration Ceremony & Reception
Following the Annual Church Service, a ceremony will be held in the Guildhall for those newly admitted freemen who wish to make their declaration to The Guild in the presence of the Master and Wardens followed by a buffet supper with wine. Places at the reception are available for all those who have made their declaration, their guests and all freemen and their guests who have attended the earlier church service. There will be a charge for the reception. More details and booking form will be available in August.

The Lord Mayors Show . This fabulous annual City event is to be held this year on Saturday 11th November. Come and support the new Lord Mayor Grandstand tickets are available on the official Lord Mayors Show website and also detail of the route if you’d just like to watch from the pavements!

The Guildhall Christmas Market
This Christmas Market organised by the Red Cross is held in the Guildhall in the heart of the City of London. Over 100 retailers, a host of live music, an indoor food market, outdoor German market, affordable art market, designer pop up shop, plus food and drinks workshops and tasting sessions are promised. This will not be an organised Guild of Nurses event, but those wishing to attend and wishing to meet other Guild members afterwards are welcome to meet Helen and Jane from the Guild for a cup of tea at 3pm. Tickets for the market will be available on the Red Cross website from September www.redcross.org.uk . Tickets cost £5 and include a glass of wine. Meeting point for Guild members at 3pm will be in the Guildhall Yard, near St Lawrence Jewry Church.
