Founder Warden and Past Master, Fran Davies was honoured to be a guest of Steve Ford, Editor of the Nursing Times, at the Nursing Times Awards. This was held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Wednesday 23 October, and it was a spectacular evening. The host for the awards was Emma Willis who spent time as a midwifery support worker for a TV series on maternity and childbirth. Fran was invited to present the award for Technology and Data in nursing and the winners were South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust for their project “Enabling effective learning environments among nursing, midwifery and AHPs using virtual reality technology”.

Fran, who is a judge for the Nursing Times Student Awards, enjoyed meeting with several Liverymen and Freemen at the event and catching up with colleagues whom she knew from her nursing career. She is pictured with fellow Liveryman, Liz Fenton, OBE, RN, Queen’s Nurse.
