National Harvest Service – Thu 16 Oct 2025

The Master, Hilary Andrews, Upper Warden, Christine Anderson and members of the Company attended the National Harvest Service in the magnificent surroundings of Westminster Abbey. The service was conducted by The Very Reverend Dr David Hoyle and sung by the Choir of Westminster Abbey.

The service was attended by Her Majesty The Queen and readings were from Charles Dance (Actor), Matt Baker (Broadcaster), and Charlotte Hill (The Felix Project). Simon Armitage, Poet Laureate, read his poem ‘Bread of Heaven’.

The Service gave thanks to farmers for the food they produce and acknowledged that many people do not have enough to eat and all the food was afterwards donated by City Harvest and The Felix Project to a range of Centres and Clubs.
