Military Liaison Officer Attends a Reception with 256 Mobile Medical Regiment (MMR) – Tue 10 June 2025

In my role as our Military Liaison Officer, I was invited to attend the above reception hosted by Lt Col Jo Cooke at The Tower of London. The reception was to recognise organisation and links to the unit. It was a beautiful evening, and the reception enabled people to chat in a wonderful setting. I met a number of colleagues who I had worked with at NHS Nightingale as well as a variety of other people. I also met Col Sharon Stewart, Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC), who acts as link to our affiliated units. We were given the added bonus of an opportunity to witness the Ceremony of the Keys before leaving.

256 MMR is the only army medical unit based in London with linked subunits in Brighton and Maidstone. They are currently trying to recruit reserve nurses from all specialities.
