Benefits of Membership
We need your help to make this a reality and the Guild of Nurses is the first step to forming a Nurses Livery Company, there is a great deal we can do.
We will make financial gifts that will support the nursing profession anywhere in the United Kingdom.
We will give assistance to bodies who are committed to raising the standards of nursing care and to those that foster the ethos of nursing.
We will provide support for those that are disadvantaged or in financial need to help with training or research to improve standards and skills.
All our members will be encouraged to become involved with one or more of the charities we support.
We pride ourselves on welcoming new members with a warm and friendly reception into the Guild of Nurses, particularly if you do not know any other members.
We will have two significant functions a year which can only be attended by our members and their guests. We will hold the events in venues that are not readily available to members of the public.
We will continue to grow a wide range of social activities drawing on the contacts of our members. and this will include the Lord Mayor’s Show in London.
All members will have a chance to be actively involved in the Guild of Nurses and to serve on one of the Committees which manage the Guild's business and contribute directly to ensuring our future success taking us towards a Livery Company.
We will make sure that all members are kept up to date with the progress of the Guild of Nurses, know about new members that join and we hope, when resources allow, to keep members up to date with professional news.
Once formed as a Livery Company we will sponsor all applicants to become Freemen of the City of London.
Above all else the Guild of Nurses, as with all Livery Companies, is concerned with philanthropic fellowship
