Livery Career Days for City Schools at Guildhall

Monday 2 and Tuesday 3 March 2026

Day 1 - Primary School Children

Day 2 - Secondary School Children 14-16yrs

It was such a pleasure to talk with young people at the Guildhall Career Days discovering the many career choices available and sharing ideas for future ambitions within the NHS.

The Company table presented a variety of hands-on material with stethoscopes and pulse oximeters on day one proving to be points of great interest amongst the younger students.

On Day 2 the more advanced age group enjoyed the challenge of Resusci Anne and learning the key techniques involved with the initial lifesaving process. This experience was enhanced by the presence of the emergency services representatives from the Kings Trauma Team.

Overall, we received a wide range of interest from students on both days, with a significant number asking for further information on career progression and in particular the availability and variety of apprenticeship programmes.

Many members of the Company volunteered to be involved in attending this event which is a showcase for our profession. The organisers for both days included Penny Chafer, Carol Chaffer and Jo Carroll.
