We are delighted to announce that at the Annual Assembly of The Company of Nurses, held on Wednesday 5th May, Frances Davies was installed as Master of the Company of Nurses by the Immediate Past Master, Liz Turnbull in a virtual ceremony attended by the Wardens, Court of Assistants, and guests of the Company. The traditional passing of the Company Lamp to the Master was expertly undertaken and is a symbol of our vocation and of nursing unity, trust and fellowship.
Earlier in the evening the Master installed Julia Mingay as the Upper Warden and Janet Oxlade as the Middle Warden.
The installation ceremony was attended by our Sponsoring Alderman Sir Andrew Parmley, the Masters and Clerks of the Draper’s Company, the Society of Apothecaries, the Spectaclemakers’ Company, the Clockmakers’ Company, the Chartered Accountants’ Company , the Entrepreneurs’ Company and the Guild of Investment Managers. A toast was made to the Company of Nurses by Alderman Vincent Keaveny.
