The Curriers’ Company – Bursary

The Curriers’ Company, one of the 110 Livery Companies of the City of London, marked the beginning of the 21st Century in a number of ways, one of which was to establish a Bursary for primary health care and public health professionals to enhance the care of individuals, families and children in inner London who, through socio- economic deprivation or other adverse social factors, are at risk of physical and psychological illness. The Bursary provides funding for research projects and further training courses. Applications are welcomed from any qualified practitioner of primary health care or public health. Since its inception, the Bursary has attracted submissions from nurses, midwives, mental health workers, a pharmacist, a physiotherapist, speech & language and occupational therapists, an ophthalmologist as well as GPs.
