On Monday 5th October the Company of Nurses held the 2020 Annual Assembly virtually. A total of 60 people attended this meeting; 45 Freemen and 15 members of the Court.
The Master, Elizabeth Turnbull, provided the meeting with a report from the previous year here. She highlighted in particular our progression to Company without Livery status that took place on the 12th May 2020 and she also gave Freemen a flavour of the events throughout her time as Master
The Chair of the Charitable Trust, Brenda Griffiths gave a report on the work of the Charity over the past year and informed those present of the many donations and grants that have been made to fellow nurses. Her report is here.
The accounts for the Company were presented by the Renter Warden, Liz Bardolph
The Master then announced the nominations for the Master and Wardens for 2020/2021. The new Master, Frances Davies was installed and the Upper Warden, Julia Mingay, and Middle Warden Janet Oxlade made their declarations.
